Records Management Tip
Each month we bring you a useful tip about records management. This month, we’d like to draw your attention to the General Data Protection Regulation, otherwise known as the GDPR, new legislation which will be enforced on 25th May 2018.
If you’re not yet familiar with it, you can of course read this month’s article on the subject of GDPR. We strongly recommend, if you’re not doing so already, that you start auditing all the records you hold containing personal and other sensitive information (whether physical or digital). Create an inventory of all these records, and ensure you apply review dates, securely destroying anything that has gone beyond its retention period.
Remember, Box-it Central can assist in many ways, from cataloguing your archives, to secure destruction. We have systems in place, to help you stay compliant – Omnidox Records Manager for tracking and managing the lifecycle of your physical archive content, and Omnidox Document Manager, for secure digital document storage. We can provide document scanning services too. And of course, our traditional services such as document storage and confidential shredding are highly secure, and fully tracked providing those all-important audit trails for compliance.
Please get in touch to find out how we can partner you on your journey to GDPR compliance.
