Records Management Tip

Need help organising your physical archives for storage? Well, as ever Box-it Central has some handy records management advice to get you started.

As a records management tip, we always recommend that you group document types together before archiving.  This will make it easier to keep track of the contents of each archive box.  It will also make the application of review dates easier as you will be basing it on one document type.

You can also take this one step further. As well as grouping by document type, group together by the year the documents were created.  This will allow you to apply a review/destroy date to the whole of the box rather than to individual files within the box.

Simple steps that can make all the difference to your document lifecycle management.
