90 Goodwill Gestures from Box-it Central
To commemorate the Queen’s official 90th birthday in June, the team at Box-it Central along with their colleagues at Squab Hall’s sister businesses (namely Squab Group and TI Evans & Sons) pledged to carry out 90 gestures of goodwill by the end of October. We thought it was a fitting way to mark the occasion. These gestures could be large or small acts of kindness with the aim of doing good for others. We have now reached the halfway stage and wanted to give you an update.
Our caring teams are certainly rising to the challenge, whether it’s doing something for the community, something for friends, family or work colleagues. And, it’s certainly making us, and those around us, feel good so let us share a few examples so far.
We have had examples of mowing the neighbour’s lawn; clearing and tidying for others; donating clothes for charity; washing cars for others; volunteering; cooking meals for friends who need cheering up; bringing in cakes, biscuits and other goodies to share with work colleagues (which of course are always well received at Box-it Central’s busy office!). We’ve even had a brave member of our document management team skydiving for charity! The list goes on and we still have until the end of October to complete the magic 9 0.
In November, we will tell you more about all the good deeds we’ve been involved with.
If you use social media, then you can follow the latest #90goodwillgestures on Twitter. We are always open to suggestions, so if you have a community project that you’d like a little help with, then please get in touch and we’ll see if we can assist.
