Box-it Central has offered Scan on Demand as part of our document management service for many years as an alternative to physical delivery of a record.  It is an ideal solution when a document is required urgently from storage, securely delivered to you electronically rather than as a hard copy.  You can be anywhere in the world to access it, as long as you have internet connection.

While we can pinpoint the exact location of archived boxes through our barcode track and trace system, having the contents of each box accurately catalogued, or in some form of inventory, is an important feature for Scan on Demand retrieval efficiencies.

If the idea of back-cataloguing archives seems daunting, it’s worth remembering that the whole process can be managed and carried out by our experienced Cataloguing team at Box-it Central.  Of course, you may already have an inventory for this very purpose.

So how does Scan on Demand work at Box-it Central?  After receiving your request for this service, we locate your document held in our Warwickshire based storage facility.  It is then scanned by our own CRB security-screened personnel and uploaded to Box-it’s secure servers here in the UK.  We then provide you with a password to access and download your required document.  It really is as simple, secure and convenient as that!

Of course, some clients choose this environmentally-friendly method of document retrieval as standard.
